About

Meet Susanna

Susanna Raj is a change agent on a mission to make technology accessible, inclusive and useful to all of humanity — using existing resources, creatively, to solve some of the world's biggest problems.

She researches how the social sciences theory of constructs can reduce bias in AI development, drawing on a background in AI ethics, psychology and human–computer interaction. Previously a researcher at the Intel Anticipatory Computing Lab and a language data collection researcher at Amazon Lab126.

“AI trained on datasets that have erased the contributions of women and minorities cannot magically see and value what is not there.”
